The upcoming issue of Jump magazine will apparently have new info on Tales of Xillia 2's two main characters - Ludgar and Elle. As usual, Nore got his copy of the magazine early and has shared some info about the two.
Ludgar Will Kresnik (again, romanization is not yet official) is 20 years old and is a normal young man who's currently living with his older brother. He handles the housework and is a good cook.
Elle Mel Martha has a quote in the magazine that says she needs to go to the "Land of Canaan" where wishes are granted to help her father. She's a level-headed and lively little girl who went on a journey to head for Canaan. She hates tomatoes.
Lulu is Ludgar's pudgy yet active cat who doesn't shy away from strangers. Lulu might even be the boss of the neighboring cats (what).
In the game's reveal, they showed us that making choices is a major feature of the game. The magazine apparently gives a funny example of one of the choices Ludgar has to make for Elle about her hate for tomatoes (Thanks to Yume for the translation correction):
(Ah! Elle hates tomatoes!) L1: "Don't be picky, they're tasty." R1: "Got it. I won't put tomatoes in it, then."
We'll replace the scan with a higher quality one once it's available.

@ragnarokangaroo hahahah XD sorry english is not my native language so sometimes when i write too much it's pretty much messed up XD but i think u got what i am saying ^^ i know that news from loooooooong time ago i saw all the news here he said he wanted things to be add in the final game like secret mission from vesperia something similar to it and some playable characters , but nothing like the game was fully uncomplete and such see his latest interview he said that they know that the next game should be in the level of xillia , anyway as i said i can't wait to play xillia for myself
and i believe there is no pressure from bandai cuz tales is like this since forever + baba san said in his interview that their work is the same now as always before being absorbed see his interview it's long and awesome ,, and i don't think namco will say to them just make games and such for any reason it's doesn't make sense .. and i hope u understand me well this time man ,,

I wonder why they all have the same eye color... I noticed that Rudger and Elle had the same eye color earlier but I just noticed that LuLu also has that eye color...
@Lloydo Sama: Long comments are fine so long as you use punctuation (like this). If you don't, it's really hard to understand what you're saying.
The fact of the matter is that Hideo Baba ADMITTED in November that Xillia was rushed and remains unfinished. Just check the archives here at Abyssal Chronicles and you'll see the news post about it. Now they're already announcing a sequel and I'm concerned as a fan of the series that they may be releasing titles too quickly. This is probably due to the tough economy, and I wonder if there's been any pressure from Namco Bandai to produce more games since they "dissolved" and "absorbed" the Tales Studio (which is now part of Namco Bandai Studios).
hahahahaha XD cat boss i think its cool hahahahaha i like cats BTW ,, he's 20 years old as i think he should all tales fans says he's 27 and above i was always thinking he's 24 and lower XD and good at cooking cool staff and for the girl i knew she have mysterious aura about her and her goal ,, can't wait to see the rest of the cast and more info on the game oh and i like the choice about the tomato LOL
ragnarokangaroo@ i don't think tales studio makes their games came out quickly in bad quality i think the best thing in tales studio that it didn't make tales fan wait for 5 year for a trailer like ff do and in the end the game didn't have that side quests or AWESOME story or anything the thing not in the timing but in the quality of their game what counts u know and xillia get sales better then ff xiii-2 and i don't think tales studio copying SE or anything i think it's SE who copy how tales studio do ! there are things in ff xiii-2 i think it's like tales ,, SE didn't know how the make an awesome game with many things to do in the game in short time -_- like tales do look to all tales games and i think u know for sure , i hear the people talking about xillia side quests not like the old tales and such but i think the people like the negative points then the good points the game have awesome battle system and many things it happened for the first time in the series with awesome story and such i think the people Are exaggerating , for me i can't wait to play the game and see for myself cuz i think it's awesome many of my jap friends said it's really awesome even here and everywhere and what make me don't believe the people it's like they copy each other not saying new things they see and didn't like from here i know that they maybe just say what other people say especially the ones who play the game and don't understand japanese ,, sorry for the long comment and i hope xillia come to us and have a good day bro ^_^
I haven't been checking Abyssal Chronicles or Tales Union in a few weeks, so I JUST found out about Xillia 2. I just wanna say that I think it's WAY too early to be making a sequel to a game that the Tales Studio admitted wasn't even finished. I was hoping that those screenshots that were released recently would be for the "complete" version of Xillia instead of for a new game (although if we're lucky they'll put in all of the extra content in a western release like they did with Abyss). It seems that this is part of an ongoing problem with the Tales Studio releasing games too quickly and I think it's hurting the series. They're probably trying to keep up with Square Enix, especially with the sudden sequel and the choice mechanic. Square Enix may be making a lot of money right now, but the quality of their games is not what it used to be and I don't think the Tales Studio should be trying to emulate them.
