  >>This is the second game to be labeled "Tales of Fandom," and, as the name implies, this game is targeted at the most avid of Tales Series fans. This time, the Tales Community focuses on Kosuke Fujishima's work. The game consists of a sort of story mode that, like in Tales of Fandom Volume 1, goes into the possible events that may have happened, would have happened, or, just happened in the Tales series' characters' lives. The game features six game modes in total. |
| >> Game Modes |
Adventure Part - Like said above, this is the part that concentrates on some of the unanswered events in the lives of the Tales characters (i.e. Tear's childhood). This part is fully voiced, thus making it as a sort of voice adventure RPG. Unlike ToFVol1's face skit images, ToFVol2 uses half body images, said images portraying more emotion than that of the other Fandom game (think Legendia). There are two main components in the adventure part:
  >> Timing Gauge - This is a system used widely in the game for certain instances (in Jade's part, it was used for a successful casting of Indignation). The gauge is triangular in shape, all three corners of said triangle representing the heart gauge, skill gauge, and body gauge, representing by a heart, a sword, and a bicep respectively. For the success of the gauge, the player must press the button as soon as the gauge hits all three marks. Be careful though, for the gauge moves fast in some cases.
  >> Conversational Turning Point - Which we commonly know as "decision making." When in a conversation with the other characters during their part of the story, the player usually stumbles upon a situation where he/she has to choose an option in order for the story to advance. Each choice made affects the storyline, or in simple cases, the other characters just react against your decision, forcing you to choose the right one.
Story Mode - During this mode, you follow the fixed story layed out for the game. The story starts with a story about the ToP characters.
Minigames - There are seven minigames prepared, most of which, you'll notice, are based on casino games. They are:
  >> Tales of Donjra - A Tales of edition of one of Bandai's family games.
  >> Tales of Pairs - Basically, it's a matching game using a 3 by 3 diagram. If you match the correct character with his/her pair, then that block disappears. Kind of like Memory.
  >> Tales of Sniper - You just have to shoot down enemies that pop out from a theatre-like area. It's like this Japanese shooting game I played before...
  >> Slot - A Tales-modified slot machine, apparently.
  >> Poker - Poker with the cards as Tales characters, and your opponents as Tales characters.
  >> Black Jack - Tales cards and characters to beat.
  >> Baccarat - Tales version of this casino game.
Designation - These give designations, or "titles" to the Tales characters. All these titles give a character a costume. Just for the added effect :D.
