Tales of Berseria Sells An Additional 39,000+ On Its 2nd Week In Japan

Berseria total sales now at ~289,000

Tales of Berseria ranks 2nd and 7th for its PS4 and PS3 versions respectively in last week's Japan sales.

According to the MediaCreate report, for the dates of August 22 to August 28, 2016, Tales of Berseria has sold an additional 24,057 units for its PlayStation 4 version. It ranks 2nd in video game sales for that week, placing below Yokai Watch 3: Sushi/Tempura for the 3DS. The PlayStation 3 version of Berseria, which garnered an additional 15,262 sales, ranked at 7th.

Cumulatively, Tales of Berseria sold an additional 39,319 units. Adding it to the game's week 1 sales of 249,723, Tales of Berseria has now sold a total of 289,042 units.

Percentage-wise, sales for Tales of Berseria's 2nd week are pretty similar to the second week sales of the previous games, ranging between ~29,000 (Tales of Zestiria on its 2nd week) to ~47,000 (Tales of Xillia on its 2nd week). It's actually in the middle ground.

If you're looking at overall sales compared to the recent titles, though, Berseria still ranks below Tales of Xillia, Xillia 2 and Zestiria respectively.

Tales of BerseriaTales of Berseria is the latest mothership title of the Tales of Series which was first announced during Tales of Festival 2015. The game was released for both the PS3 and PS4 on August 18, 2016 in Japan, January 24, 2017 in North America and January 27, 2017 in Europe for the PS4 and PC. The game features a female protagonist named Velvet and a theme of pirates and ships. It’s also confirmed as a distant prequel to Tales of Zestiria.
