Tales of Xillia Trademark Filed... In Europe!

It hasn't been that long since the release of Tales of Graces f in US shores, but we might be hearing news of the next Tales of Series localization soon!... Or not. But at least, I sure hope so!

News just in that a trademark for none other than Tales of Xillia has been filed, not in the US, but in Europe.

As usual, trademarks don't really mean much until there's actual word of a localization. They are mainly filed to protect the name of the game and its use in conjunction to goods and services related to it.

This is, of course, the first step to it all... or maybe, to some of the games. Other Tales titles like Tales of Rebirth and Tales of Innocence did get trademarks filed in the US, though we still have no news of any localizations for them. Just recently though, the trademark filed for Tales of Hearts in the US was just renewed.

To those who've forgotten, Tales of Xillia was the title released for the Tales of Series 15th anniversary in Japan. It was the first game in the series to feature two "main" characters to pick a path from and two character designers handling the cast, with the main animation cutscenes handled by ufotable. This game is considered the best selling Tales game in Japan, garnering more than 740,000 sales as of late. The game tells the story of Jude Mathis, a young Medical student who meets a mysterious girl named Milla Maxwell. Milla, who has the ability to talk to and control the spirits, claims that she is the spirit Maxwell herself.

Tales of Xillia has long been sold out from Play-Asia, but these other shops still have the game for sale: YesAsia | CDJapan | Amazon
