Tales of Zestiria's Character Names In Japan Are Also The Localized Names

Bandai Namco Games America has confirmed with us that those released names of the Tales of Zestiria characters up in the Japanese website are the same ones to be used for the game's localized version.

People have been having... mixed reviews regarding the official names of the Tales of Zestiria characters. We've been getting messages and questions left and right about the names, so here's to clarify things:

1.) The names we've been using before (Slay, Alicia, Mikulio, Lyla, etc.) were all names we guessed based on the katakana and romaji of the Japanese names. The new names that were released on Dengeki PlayStation and the Japanese official website (Sorey, Alisha, Mikleo, Lailah) are official.

2.) Since people have also been asking us, we asked Bandai Namco Games America whether or not the new names are also the ones to be used in the localized game. They answered that yes, the new names (Sorey, Alisha, etc.) will be the names to be used for the localized English version of the game.

This hopefully answers everyone's questions regarding the matter.

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan, North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:
