Shionne is a young woman from Rena who wields a rifle. She holds the curse of "Thorns" that unwillingly causes intense pain to anyone she touches. It seems to be because of this curse that she is being hunted down by those from Rena. She cooperates with Alphen who, because of his inability to feel anything, is unaffected by Shionne's curse, in rebelling against the people of Rena.
Despite being a Renan, she first encounters Alphen while being pursued by Renan soldiers. She supports Alphen not only in battle but also by healing using her Astral Energy. Balseph, the lord of Calaglia, labels her a traitor. Why was she being chased down by Renans? And in this land where Renans and Dahnans don't even get along, just what is her purpose in Dahna? Shionne's meeting with Alphen unlocks an unprecedented power, as if the two of them complete each other. Since Shionne needs that power to achieve her own goals, she stays with Alphen out of convenience.
