Eizen is the skipper of Aifread's pirates and dubbed the "Reaper" because of the misfortune he seemingly brings to others all his life. Despite this, his fellow pirates pay no heed and they set sail with him in the ship Van Eltia. He is currently searching for his captain, Van Aifread, who has gotten into trouble with the Abbey. He joins Velvet on her journey against this common enemy.
Despite being a malak, Eizen has his own will and ego. He is a quiet man but is with vast knowledge and experience, sometimes giving Velvet advice on the journey and guiding Laphicet. This makes Eizen an important member of the party. He treats Laphicet like a brother but keeps an eye on the mischievous Magilou.
