We're kind of late to the party, but early last week, a peculiar listing for what seemed to be a Tales of Xillia Remaster popped up in a bunch of European video game retailer websites.
Early last week, a couple of Czeck and Slovakian retailers had listed listings what seemed to be a Tales of Xillia Remastered game for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One/Series X and Nintendo Switch.
Specifically, Czeck retailers Smarty, JRC (which is under Smarty), and Slovakian retailer Brloh had the listings up. They have long since been removed, but various screenshots have shown the listings were indeed up, with the following blurb:
"Vrať se staroznámého světa hry Tales of Xillia v novém remasterovaném podání pro moderní herní konzole. Hraj za jednoho z hrdinů a vydej se do světa kde lidé a duchové žijí spolu v harmonii," which via Google Translate says "Return to the ancient world of Tales of Xillia in a new remastered presentation for modern game consoles. Play as one of the heroes and go to a world where people and spirits live together in harmony."
Most have been wary however since the alleged box art used in the listings actually show the Tales of Xillia logo plastered over what was originally the Tales of Symphonia Remastered logo. The listings, however, do list it as "artwork not final", so this may just be retailers using placeholder artwork.
That said, the listings did use European Article Numbers (EANs) that are currently registered under Bandai Namco Europe, but currently do not show up for any other public database linking it to any game or item.
For now, we're taking this with a grain of salt, but this could possibly still be an accidental leak for what's to come. What do you think?
