Heya guys! Welcome back to another contest focusing on the wonderfully sweet upcoming Valentine's Day/Singles Awareness Day *shot*!
First off, I'd like to thank all those who gave me the suggestion for this theme. I was really running out of ideas on this one :(.
So, on to mechanics!
Come up with a Valentines message coming from one Tales character of your choice!
To the confused, here's what I mean: Basically, just choose one (1) Tales character you like, and come up with what you think is a Valentines message that would come from them, personality-wise or game-wise. You know, the type of messages you'd see on a Valentine's card. All you need is the message - do not make an actual card via Photoshop or something (we'll be doing that on our own, for the winning entries), do not address the card to anyone except a generic "you" or something - not to another character - I just need the actual Valentines message.
Still confused? Here's an example entry!
Lloyd: Roses are red, violets are blue. Want some coffee? I made it as hot as you.
Oh my gosh I'm sorry I suck at this?! Take note that it doesn't have to be a poem, it doesn't have to start with the roses are red thing. This is just a really sappy example.
Get as creative as you can get. The winning entries will be chosen by me, and also probably our other admin, sukotsuto. Simply speaking, the entries that we find most interesting will win. What we're basically looking for is how witty it is and how well it fits the character's personality and or characteristics in the game. Note that we'll only allow one entry per person.
This contest is open to everyone, even AC site staff (except the main admins, of course).
Submit your entries via e-mail with the subject "AC's Tales of Valentines Contest Submission" to a745@abyssalchronicles.com together with a preferred nickname/username for yourself. Deadline of submissions is on February 13, 2013 at 12:00 midnight New York City Time (that would be 1pm in the afternoon of February 13 in the Philippines).
The winners will be announced on February 14, 2013 at 10:00 am New York City Time (Feb 14, 11pm Philippines Time).
As I mentioned above, the main prizes for the two main winners is a copy of Tales of Hearts R (JP version) each as well as the "Your Tales of" T-Shirt each. The games will be purchased by us from either Play-Asia, YesAsia or CDJapan, and will then be sent to the winners' addresses. Needless to say, one main requirement of joining the contest is that either Play-Asia, CDJapan or YesAsia is able to ship the prize to your country/address. It will be your responsibility to check if PA, CDJap or YA can indeed ship the prizes to your place.
Three other runner-ups will also be chosen and will each get a "Your Tales of" T-Shirt. The T-Shirts will be shipped out from Europe by Ms. Hollie herself :).
NOTE: Since the T-Shirts we have are of limited quantity and sizes, we will first prioritize the two main winners (the ones who also get the game) when it comes to sizes. In other words, we ask them to choose a size first. Once they've chosen, the three runner-up winners can choose the size they want - but as I said, sizes are limited, so if a size you need is no longer available, please just choose a different size closet to yours.
NOTE #2: Depending on where we order Hearts R, we cannot guarantee pre-order bonuses... unless we get it from CDJapan.
NOTE #3: Guys, no need to resend your entries again and again. I can assure you I got them unless you actually get an error notice from your mail provider or something. I won't be able to reply to every single entry anymore, since I'm quite busy X_X.
