Funimation Gets Tales of Vesperia The First Strike Movie For English Release

It looks like Germany won't be the only country enjoying the ToV movie. Expect an English version of Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ movie, the prequel to the main game Tales of Vesperia, to be released next year courtesy of Funimation.

We all know about Funimation, the North American anime distributor responsible for bringing to us English dub versions of famous titles such as Case Closed (Detective Conan), Fullmetal Alchemist and Dragonball. Just yesterday, Funimation announced at its panel at the Anime Detour convention that they have licensed the movie, and will have it released in DVD and Blu-ray Disc by next year. This was announced along withFractale and Freezing, a couple of anime that were just recently airing in Japan. No news yet on whether or not we'll be expecting the same voice actors from the game... but I sure hope so.
Thanks to Danette-Anime-Otaku for the heads-up.
