Bienfu

---

Bienfu is a peculiar Malak with an equally peculiar hat. It's an eccentric that usually adds "Bieen!" and "Bad!" to his phrases. It seems to be weak, but it does love a good challenge and lives with sharp attention and strong intent.

Bienfu and Magilou seem to know each other, but whenever they meet, Bienfu seems fearful of her. Unlike other Malaks which do not have their own will, Bienfu seems to have its own ego and expresses itself in a variety of facial expressions.

Oscar Dragonia

Oscar Dragonia is a strong praetor rank exorcist from the Dragonia family, a major aristocracy from the Empire. He fights against Velvet as she flees Titania, the prison island where she was held captive.

Though born from a noble family, he makes no distinction between social status, age or gender and willingly serves the people. However, because of his sense of duty to strike down all daemons, he considers them an enemy. As such, he goes against Velvet multiple times in the story.

He is the half-brother of Teresa Linares.

Teresa Linares

---

Teresa Linares is also a praetor rank exorcist from the Abbey and is Oscar's half-sister. She governs Hellawes, the northern area of the Holy Midgand Empire. She holds the Abbey's doctrine as her main reason and judges accordingly based on that, sporting mostly a stoic and cold personality. She has gained the title of "Frozen Queen" because of this, but she dotes on Oscar and shows her kindness only to him.

She calls Laphicet "Number Two" and uses him for his Malak artes.

Shigure Rangetsu

---

Shigure is a Legate Exorcist from The Abbey. He is Rokurou’s older brother and is the head of their Rangetsu family. They use a unique fighting style in their aims to become the strongest warriors. Though a Legate, an exorcist of a high rank, he has a free-spirited attitude unappreciated by his serious-minded peers. He justifies his carefree behavior with his battle prowess.

His sole joy is to fight tough opponents and seems to enjoy it when his opponent is stronger. He will never turn down a new challenge whenever it arises.

Rokurou is training to defeat him by polishing his own Rangetsu style that uses two swords.

Melchior

---

A Legate elder from The Abbey who is well-versed in the ancient legends and a master in alchemy. His years of experience places him as an adviser for Artorius, the head of the exorcists.

He recognizes the importance of the exorcists' missions and that they cannot always be accomplished through good deeds, and to that point is willing to do unpleasant deeds. Though mostly a support to the organization with strategy and resources, he himself is a powerful arte-wielder.

Artorius Collbrande

---

Artorius is the most powerful exorcist and the head of the Abbey. Three years ago, he appeared with a group of Malaks and defeated a group of Daemons that the army couldn’t handle. Since then, he has been called the Savior, bringing peace to the world and keeping it from disaster. Support from him spreads from not just the people, but also from kings and churches. For him, reason and will are more important than emotions when fighting.

He and Velvet used to be close, but they broke their ties since the events of 3 years ago. Prior to the said events, Velvet used to call him "Arthur."

Artorius was shown in the very first trailer released for the anime Tales of Zestiria the X, hinting at the connection between Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Berseria.

Seres

Seres is a Malak and formerly a partner of Artorius. She used to follow Artorius’s orders with absolute obedience, but up until the events of 3 years ago, she regained her own free will. Since then, she has felt uncomfortable and has became suspicious of Artorius’s actions and thus moved away from him. She later sneaks into the prison island of Titania to help Velvet break out.

Dyle

Dyle, a lizard daemon, helps out Velvet as she escapes the prison island of Titania. He was initially a member of the shipping guild but transgressed and has been affected by the daemonblight. He is now being hunted by the Abbey.

Despite being affected by the daemonblight, he is able to keep his ego and reasoning, just like Velvet and Rokurou can.

Benwick

Benwick is a young member of the Aifread pirates. Talking to him will enable the player to ride the Van Eltia.

Van Aifread

---

Captain of the Aifread pirates. He is currently missing, leaving Eizen, his skipper, in charge of his crew by default. The Abbey is apparently deeply involved in his disappearance.

Eizen is currently looking for him together with the Aifread pirates, and joins forces with Velvet against the Abbey, a common enemy.
