New Scans on Tales of Berseria's Artorius and Seres, Waiter / Waitress Minigame Returns

Welcome back the frustration that is food serving

The latest scans from Jump Magazine feature Tales of Berseria's Artorius and Seres, along with the return of one of the Tales of Series's popular minigames.

Artorius Collbrande and Seres were two characters introduced during Tales of Festival 2016. More info on them have been revealed, along with the return of the waiter/waitress minigame!

Artorius Collbrande

"I swear to you all that I shall put an end to all the pain in this world!"
VA: Kenyu Horiuchi
Designed by: Kosuke Fujishima

  • A man who has gained tremendous support as the "Savior." He possesses a strong sense of reason.

Seres

"...First, I must test you, whether or not it will be worth my while to teach you."
VA: Satomi Arai

  • Seres is a Malak that can control the power of fire. Despite being under Artorius's command, she serves as a sort of guide at times to Velvet during her journey and helps her escape her prison.

The arrows pointing to the three characters just show what type of relationship the three have. Seres is under Artorius' employment, but she feels estranged of him recently (during TalesFes, they said that she questions Artorius's actions the past three years). Artorius is someone Velvet will never forgive, while Seres helps Velvet escape (her prison).

And of course, the whole waiter/waitress minigame is back! We haven't seen this since... Vesperia, I believe? It certainly is a welcome addition.

we all know they will be dlc. they haven't had in game costumes in almost a decade. and no I do not count alt colors as costumes.

Previous scans already showed in-game, non-DLC costumes that weren't alt-colors, though. Well, one at least.

How do you know it's not dlc?

          • a745

Because they don't usually use DLC when the screenshots talk/describe the game's system and mechanics. This is one of the screenshots used for the costumes/attachment mechanic in the game.

In addition, you can remove Eizen's big coat.

Zestiria gave you alt costumes for Rose however. Xillia 2 gave Muzet and Gaius their X1 costumes (and you could also get the Cless costume for Jude and the Stahn one for Milla in the bonus dungeon post-game if you didn't get them as DLC) Also Xillia had at least four alt costumes, 2 for Milla and 1 for Jude and Alvin. No, it really isn't much I know but they have yet to be omitted completely.
