New Tales Mobile Game Tales of Crestoria Announced for iOS and Android in Japan, New Teaser Trailer

New Tales smartphone game incoming

A new Tales game for smartphones titled "Tales of Crestoria" has just been announced in Japan. Check out the teaser trailer!

The game will be released on Apple iTunes Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.

A bit of info on the game from its official Twitter:

@to_crestoria
I protected the person most important to me.

I saved the person of most importance to me.

I was born in this world.

I will live on. Even if it would be a sin to do so.

Check out the trailer below:

An alternative version of the teaser is also available, this time from what seems to be the point of view of the main hero:

Looking at the artwork, I -think- the one who looks like the main character is designed by Fujishima, the heroine designed by Inomata and the villain-like guy designed by Iwamoto. But they might just be similar in art style, I'm not sure.

More information and the full artwork of the characters will be available on the upcoming September 13 issue of Famitsu Magazine.

Tales of Crestoria
Tales of CrestoriaTales of Crestoria is a mobile title dedicated for smartphones that is an entirely new story and doesn't focus on previous Tales of titles. The game features Kanata Hjuger, who is in a world where everyone is required to wear Vision Orbs so that judgement and crimes are determined at Vision Central. Guilty verdicts brands these parties with a crest, where the Executioner will hunt these branded criminals to pass sentence, and Kanata finds himself pronounced guilty, confessing that he "protected someone important" to him.

    Lol, on other sites, there are already people complaining about it not being a main/mothership title. This is old and exhausting.

    I'm tentatively interested. I love Asteria because of the fanservice of it. The crossover aspect and the costumes/events are all well done.

    Rays is great because the main characters are fun, and both are fairly centered, and the crossover aspect is once again handled well.

    I suspect this one will follow the pattern of featuring characters from across the series. Would be interesting if it didn't, but if it does, I wonder how, given the themes.
