Junko Iwao's Yume wa Owaranai Full Cover from Tales of Dream Project Now Available Online

Available worldwide!

As announced in the first Tales of Music Channel, the cover of Tales of Phantasia's opening theme is now available for streaming and purchase online. As opposed to the usual Japan-only release of most Tales music in the past, the cover is actually available worldwide for other platforms.

(Should also be available on iTunes but I can't seem to find the link)

Tales of Phantasia's opening theme, Yume wa Owaranai ~Kobore Ochiru Toki no Shizuku~ (The Dream Will Not End ~The Spilling Drops of Time~) is sung by Mint Adnade's voice actor, Junko Iwao. This is one of the songs available in the upcoming Tales of Dream Project, which has just been announced to be released in CD form on November 11, 2020. The move to release it worldwide was made to let more fans from worldwide also listen to the song.

Other covers which will be included in the Tales of Dream Project CD (and will hopefully get online releases as well) include:

  • Chihiro Suzuki (Luke fon Fabre) to perform Tales of the Abyss opening "Karma"
  • Rika Morinaga (Rita Mordio) to perform Tales of Vesperia opening "Kane wo Narashite (Ring a Bell)"
  • Toshiyuki Morikawa (Eizen) to perform Tales of Berseria opening "BURN"

The next Tales of Music Channel will be held on September 19, 2020 at 8PM JST.

At present, it is the title with the most number of ports and/or remakes and also has an anime OVA adaptation. The game features heavy influences of time travel and a bit of Norse mythology. It is confirmed as a distant sequel to Tales of Symphonia.
