Tales of Festival 2020 Alternative Live Broadcast Set For June 14

Tales Fes at Home

But there won't be any game news, apparently.

In what seems to be a replacement to this year's Tales of Festival 2020 (which has been postponed to March next year due to COVID-19 health concerns), Bandai Namco Entertainment Japan will be holding a live stream broadcast called "Tales of Festival 2020 Alternative" on June 14, 2020. This is the same date as the 2nd day of the previously scheduled Tales of Festival 2020.

The broadcast will be available via YouTube Live, Periscope and the Asobi Store on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at 8PM Japan Standard Time. It will run for about 60 minutes and will star Masaya Onosaka (Zelos Wilder in Tales of Symphonia), Katsuyuki Konishi (Lloyd Irving in Tales of Symphonia) and Viva☆kun, the Tales Channel + Mascot.

The broadcast's theme is enjoying the Tales of Festival at home, with the hashtag #おうちでテイフェス (Tales Fes at home) and will share the latest information on the Tales of Series 25th Anniversary this year. The merchandise that was supposedly for sale at the venue of Tales of Festival 2020, along with the illustrations of the characters in their Tales of Festival 2020 original costumes, will also be revealed during the broadcast.

That said though, it's a bit confusing since the report ends with a small disclaimer indicating that "There won't be any announcements regarding game information." Whether this is about any new game we don't know yet or any info regarding the upcoming games that we're anticipating (Tales of Crestoria, Tales of Arise), we don't know yet. For now, I wouldn't get my hopes up since there's an actual disclaimer about it.
