More Tales of the Stage Actors Announced

The Tales of the Stage web page has updated its roster for the upcoming Tales of the Abyss stage play to be held this June 2 at Yokohama Arena.

Previously, Kota Iwaki and Sena have been announced as the actors for Luke fon Fabre and Tear Grants respectively. The following were announced recently:

  • Shunichi Takahashi as Jade Curtiss
  • Chihiro Kai as Anise Tatlin
  • Kou Hosokawa as Guy Cecil
  • Fuyuna Asakura as Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear
  • Saki Takahashi as Ion
  • Yuya Arai as Asch

Shunichi Takahashi is affiliated with performance team PADMA as a double dutch performer.  Kai has participated in other stage plays such as ROCK MUSICAL BLEACH ~Another Above Ground~ as Rukia Kuchiki and Owari no Seraph the Musical as Shinoa Hiiragi. Hosokawa has participated in Kamisama Hajimemashita the Musical 2016 and mostly in V Cinema's Taiman 3 and Taiman 4. Asakura has participated in the musical Annie as the titular role, in the movie Kuchibiru ni Uta o as Kaoru Yokomine, as well as the drama series Chia☆Doll. Saki Takahashi has appeared in the live spectacle NARUTO -Naruto- as Hinata Hyuga and in 2.5 Escape Stage Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress as Mumei. Arai will also be appearing in Prince of Stride THE STAGE Episode 2 this April 2017.

Among the cast, Kai, Hosokawa, and Arai have mentioned in their commentary that they've played the game.

Tales of the Abyss
Tales of the AbyssTales of the Abyss is the eighth mothership title of the series initially released for the PlayStation 2 in Japan in the same year as Tales of Legendia. It is the Tales of Series 10th Anniversary title. The game was later ported to the Nintendo 3DS and was adapted into a 26-episode TV anime by Sunrise. Abyss tells the story of Luke, a young noble whose life turns upside down upon meeting a mysterious girl named Tear. The game appears to be influenced by musical themes.
