Agarte is finally playable in Tales of The Rays' new event!

The awakened queen is here!

Tales of The Rays' latest event is now live, a raid event focusing on Tales of Rebirth!
Summer isn't all fun and games. Saleh returns alive and well in Tales of The Rays' latest event. This event focuses solely on Rebirth's cast, so the featured characters are of course main party members Veigue, Hilda, and Annie, the returning antagonist Saleh and of course, new party member Agarte Lindblum! Agarte is a pivotal member of Rebirth's cast and extremely important to that game's story, and that's as much as I can say without spoilers. While she was able to acquire titles and use magic, she was never a fully playable party member. So naturally, it was a big surprise when they revealed she would be joining Rays as a fully playable character in the game's classic Linear Motion Battle System. It's great that Rays is able to provide this opportunity to so many characters who were never playable before... but the jury's still out on Claire (don't expect it).

To make this article easier to use as reference, below is a schedule you'll want to keep an eye on for the duration of this and concurrent events. Like usual, Arte and Costume previews will be available at the bottom of this article. There's also a rerun for Lukius' introduction event from Tempest running at the time of this writing, so that will be included in the time table as well. Be sure to complete the rerun's quests for dia, although you can acquire currency for it automatically while farming the Rebirth event.

Be sure to refer back to this if you're worried about how much time you'll have left. Let's move on to playing the event itself. In the quests menu (second from the left on the bottom) you'll go to the events section, the second tab from the top. There will be two relevant quest banners: a story section and a raid one. At first you'll only be able to play the story quests so touch the banner and get started!

After completing all 5 story quests, you'll be taken to the raid itself, which you can also reach by touching the unlocked quest banner here.

There will be 3 bosses, but not all of them will necessarily be unlocked by the time you start the raid. You can participate by tapping the icon of an unlocked boss, starting from the Liger on the left.

Every quest has a point value, with higher difficulty quests giving higher score. After clearing all quests, try repeating the highest difficulty quest to farm points efficiently!

When setting up your party for Raid Quests, you may notice a percentage on each party member. That's the Raid Bonus, and you'll get more Raid points for higher total Raid Bonuses across your party. You're encouraged to get your raid bonus as high as possible before even attempting each quest. It's weighted towards characters featured in the event, which means Rebirth characters naturally!

You're also scored based on how well you do in raid battles as well. In particular, you're scored on Time and Combo Damage. You'll get the maximum bonus for clearing each quest in under 15 seconds and dealing a majority of damage in a single combo, so keep playing these quests to practice until you know how to open bosses up and convert to a winning combo speedily!

When all players collectively obtain a certain amount of points on each boss, the next boss will be unlocked until the raid reaches completion. Afterwards, higher difficulties will unlock with more efficient point values, and Agarte will be unlocked for all players along with her skit!

But you should also farm for individual rewards. Here's a chart of which rewards to aim for as you accumulate points.

Raid Reward Description/Points Required
Agarte's event arte.  Earned at 27500 raid points and maxed out at 160000 raid points.
> Agarte's Mirrage Shards. Uncaps Level at 50, 60 and 70 (allowing up to level 80). Earned at 30000, 150000 and 400000 points.
Special Tickets. There's a guaranteed 5* ticket at 1.5 million points, a guaranteed Mirrage Ticket at 3 million points and a guaranteed Master Arte Ticket at 4 million points.

That should be everything you need to aim for this event! With just a raid it should be pretty simple to see the story, recruit the characters and farm the rewards.

And without further ado, here's the arte and costume previews for each character!

Agarte

Agarte gets a very nice darker recolor of her default costume, fitting now that she's battle ready!

Veigue

Hilda

Annie

That's it for this event! It lasts for about 10 days so be sure to get your gameplay in during that time. There will be a final event for august going into September, so be sure to check back soon for news on that as it comes!
