Gamescom 2021 will be starting later today!
This year's online-only Gamescom 2021: The Heart of Gaming will be starting later today. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, Gamescom is held annually in Cologne, Germany at the Koelnmesse exhibition, but due to the pandemic the event will be held completely virtually. Spanning from August 25 to 27, Gamescom is expected to deliver trailers and updates on the latest games, along with performances and the Gamescom Awards 2021.
Among the many nominees for the Gamescom Awards, Tales of Arise is nominated in two categories, namely for Best PlayStation Game and Best Roleplaying Game. You can see the full list of nominees here.
Gamescom Awards focus on new games that will be releasing between the start of this Gamescom and the Gamescom for next year, hence the nominations. The winners will be announced during the Gamescom: Opening Night Live, which will start August 25, 7:30PM CEST for the half-hour preshow, then 8PM CEST for the main show. The ONL will be broadcasted live on Gamescom's channels as well as their Twitch and YouTube.
Wednesday, we are excited to welcome @LindseyStirling to @gamescom Opening Night Live.
Lindsey will be performing live to celebrate the upcoming release of TALES OF ARISE!

In addition, violinist Lindsey Stirling will also be performing during ONL, specifically music from Tales of Arise, as announced by Geoff Keighley's Twitter.
Although we're not expecting a lot of news for Tales of Arise at Gamescom, Bandai Namco will be presenting their games during the event. This may be mainly for the upcoming new expansion of The Dark Pictures Anthology or Elden Ring.
