Tales of Series Title "Solo/Independent" Event Live Stream Announced For August 10

Title? Event? Both?

We have no idea what it is, yet.

From a sudden Tweet from the official Tales of Series Event Twitter, Bandai Namco will be holding a "Tales of Series Title Solo/Independent Event Live Stream" on August 10, Thursday, at 8PM JST.

The announcement is actually pretty vague and translating the actual live stream information doesn't yield much. We're unsure if it's a game announcement or not, but from our translation we're leaning more toward an event for a single game title. The kanji 単独 can be translated as solo, single, or independent, so it appears they're saying they will announce an independent event for a single Tales title. What that title is, whether it's an old game or a new one, we have no idea.

The hosts for the event will be Masaya Onosaka-san (Zelos Wilder - Tales of Symphonia) and Viva-kun. The stream will be on YouTube:

If this is related to an already released game, things that may be related would include whatever it is that the Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn trademark is for, or maybe related to either Tales of Vesperia or Tales of Symphonia, which both have their anniversaries this August. Tales of Vesperia celebrated its 15th anniversary in Japan last August 7, while Tales of Symphonia will be celebrating its 20th anniversary on August 29th.

Stay tuned for more details! We'll be sure to cover anything that will be on the live stream!
