Bandai Namco Entertainment has just announced that the Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will be released on January 11, 2019 for both North America and Europe! There's an incoming special edition, too!
Bandai Namco Entertainment will be releasing the Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC Digital via STEAM on January 11, 2018 for Europe. No news yet on whether this will be the exact same date for the North American or the Japanese release, which is dubbed as a "REMASTER".

10th September, 2018 – Richmond, UK: – After overwhelming fan demand, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe is pleased to announce that TALES OF VESPERIA™: Definitive Edition will be available for the first time in Europe on January 11th, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Nintendo Switch™ and PC.
TALES OF VESPERIA: Definitive Edition includes up-scaled screen resolution, characters, events, and costumes that were never released outside of Japan, as well as introducing two new playable party members. Flynn Scifo, the main character’s best friend and rival, and Patty Fleur, a young pirate searching for her lost memories.
TALES OF VESPERIA: Definitive Edition uses a specialised iteration of the ‘TALES OF’ series’ Linear Motion Battle System for combat. Players control a single party member in real-time combat while other party members are controlled by a customised set of A.I. commands. Players can swap between any of the four characters at any time during battles and can perform physical attacks, Magic Artes or even powerful Mystic Artes.
TALES OF VESPERIA: Definitive Edition will be available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 system, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Tales of Vesperia is the tenth mothership title of the series initially released for the Xbox 360. The Japanese and North American English localization release dates of the game were within the same month, a first in the entire series. It later got ported to the PlayStation 3 with additional features, but this never got an English release. An updated version known as “Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition” will be released for both Japan & the West in Winter 2018. Vesperia tells the story of Yuri, a former Imperial Knight. A movie called Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike was later released which tells the story of Yuri prior to the game’s events.
