"Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition" announced for Nintendo Switch 2, coming in May 2026

Tales of Arises makes the Switch! Get it?

During this month's Nintendo Direct, Tales of Arise was announced to be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 as "Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition". The game will launch on May 21st in Japan, with the Western release coming on the following day, May 22nd.

A trailer was shown during the Direct, and was uploaded afterwards, on Bandai Namco's respective channels.

The game itself is seemingly unchanged, while being optimized for Switch 2 hardware, though no specs or performance reports have been released. Included in this version is also the "Beyond the Dawn" expansion DLC, as well as various smaller DLCs that were available for the game prior. A "Digital Premium Edition" is also available, which includes all paid DLC, such as the costumes and BGM packs. Those who purchase the regular edition of the game may also get the "Premium Upgrade Pack" for all the aforementioned DLC.

Breaking the rules again and speaking for myself (hi I'm Flamzeron, nice to meet you), this was surprising, though also good for those who missed out on the game originally. That's it.

If you missed out on the game originally and play on Switch 2, now's your chance!
