FromSoftware's ELDEN RING, also published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Inc., received the overall Grand Award during the event.

Tales of Arise was praised for its tremendous evolution from previous games in the series, but still retaining elements special to the series; the use of AtmosShader to create a picturesque world; the use of CG to express rich emotions in the characters' facial expressions and the speedier progress of battles. Audience votes praised it for the story, graphics, characters and battles, calling it the royal road of RPGs.

A message from Producer Yusuke Tomizawa was also given:

I am very grateful for receiving such a wonderful award this time.

We developed “Tales of ARISE (hereinafter called ARISE)” as the dawn of new age for the series loved for a long time of 25 years. Under the development theme “Inheritance and Evolution,” we reconstruct the series, facing the most essential charm. In addition, we created the game, thinking we would again deliver the charm of this series to the whole world.

We are very glad that more people than ever played and enjoyed Arise, thanks to our efforts. Thriving on your supports, we push forward our work to pursue the growth of the series and the possibility of JRPG,

Yusuke Tomizawa
Producer

This awards adds to Tales of Arise's impressive accolades, including the PlayStation Partner Awards in 2021 and winning Best Role Playing Game at The Game Awards 2021.

Tokyo Game Show 2022 is still underway. As a reminder, there will be a one-hour Tales of Series presentation during Tokyo Game Show. Confirmed to be discussed so far is the recently announced Tales of Symphonia Remastered.
