Introducing a New Series of Video Guides for Tales of Arise, Starting with Balseph!

How to beat Balseph

You may remember our previous post about guides for the Tales series by Pássaro. This time we're focusing on the latest game in the series, Tales of Arise! Since the game is still new and fresh, it can be tough to find real answers for challenging fights in the game. Check out the first video here!

Without further ado, here is the guide itself.

Starting with Balseph, this series of guides will focus on the patterns each boss in Tales of Arise uses to attack and how to effectively dodge them, avoid damage and counter. Even if you've beaten this boss we recommend checking this video out anyway to catch anything you may not have noticed about his patterns or mechanics and knowledge you may potentially apply in the rest of the game.

This guide goes into detail on choreographs for each attack as well as more advanced information such as the breaking down animation timing in frames and how his pattern changes to keep you on your toes after you do a Boost Strike.

If you have any feedback to give on this guide, suggestions on which parts of the game you'd want covered in a video guide or even just want to mention a part of the game that you found difficult that you think a video like this could help for, feel free to leave a comment below or a reply on our social media or discord server!

About Khayyaam 104 Articles
When he’s not playing Tales, Khayyaam tries his best to get as many people he knows as possible into the series. He’s also a fan of all sorts of games in general, especially Fighting Games, Action Games and RPGs, and he loves to write and talk about them too, especially from a gameplay and game design perspective. One day he’ll make his own game, or be a voice actor in a game, but for now he’s happy just playing games and talking about them.
