The latest event in Tales of Crestoria is Operation Midnight Snow, featuring Jade from Tales of the Abyss and Malik from Tales of Graces. This event is a chance to get SSR and SR memoria stones of Jade and Malik respectively. (Like other events, these memoria stones do not become characters when you receive them.) The event will run from Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2:00am Eastern time to Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 1:59am. The exchange for the event will remain open until Wednesday, December 23, at 1:59am though. The story premise for this event is:
After Vicious suddenly disappears, Kanata and Aegis visit a nearby bar in their search for him. While there, they meet some unexpected friends: Jade, whom they met during the Southvein incident, and Malik, the captain who instructed Aegis in his academy years. While discussing the paths that led to their reunion, a vast amount of alcohol is stolen from the bar's storeroom. To clear the doubt cast on Vicious, Kanata and his friends embark on a quest to unmask the true culprit.
To receive all of the event rewards, players must clear the quests and complete multiple Midnight Beast raids. The quests drop Superb Bottled Cocktails and Cherished Fruits as rewards. Superb Bottled Cocktails can be collected and exchanged for prizes at the event exchange. These prizes include Jade and Malik's memoria stones, gleamstones, adornment stones, and a variety of ascension materials for water characters. Cherished Fruits, on the other hand, are used to open an instance of the raid. The Midnight Beast raid drops more Superb Bottled Cocktails with a very rare chance of also dropping a Malik SR memoria stone or even a Jade SSR memoria stone. Clearing both quests and raids also awards you Event Points, which will accumulate to earn even more prizes. This event has also introduced a new guild mechanic where your guild members' total Event Points are tallied up after the event to award additional prizes to all guild members.
Certain characters from recent summons also have Attack bonuses during this event. Sorey [A Long-Awaited Gift] and Mikleo [Substitute Reindeer], the characters from the latest Premium Summons, each have a 50% ATK increase during this event's quests and raids. Luke [Shaken in the Wagon], the featured character in the current Select Summon, has a 30% ATK boost. Their associated memoria stones also have the same stat bonus. The Jade and Malik memoria stones that are obtained during this event have a 20% and 10% ATK bonus respectively.
When fully awakened, the Jade memoria stone provides a +15% CRIT rate bonus to water allies. The Malik one provides +20% HP to sword-type allies. Jade's stats are 9,500 HP, 1,550 ATK, and 800 DEF at level 100. Malik's stats are 14,000 HP, 750 ATK, and 400 DEF at level 100.
