Announced in their new promotional video on future projects, ufotable has revealed that they're working on "something" for the Tales of Series 30th anniversary.
Ufotable, responsible for a series of popular anime projects such as Demon Slayer and the Fate Series, as well as animated cutscenes for some Tales of Series games and anime renditions of Tales of Zestiria and Tales of Symphonia, has just released a promotional video of their upcoming projects.
In this video, they highlight that a special project is in the works in collaboration with Bandai Namco, celebrating the Tales of Series 30th Anniversary. This project has also been confirmed by Tales of Series Producer Tomizawa-san via Twitter/X. Although no information yet has been revealed on what it is, further information will be announced this April 3, 2026.
This could either be an actual full game already where they are working on the game's opening movie and cutscenes, or this could be an anime project of sorts. Or it could just be a trailer like they did that one time for Tales of Arise. This may also be Tales of Symphonia related, as the original Tweet from ufotable for some reason included the Tales of Symphonia hashtag ("#TOS").
Whatever it is, we're excited! We'll be sure to cover this on April 3rd!
Tales of Arise is the latest mothership title (new classification: original title) of the Tales of Series which was first announced during Microsoft’s Press Conference in E3 2019. The game was released for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC Digital via Steam on September 9, 2021 for Asia and Japan and September 10, 2021 for the rest of the world. The game features use of the Unreal Engine 4 and works on the theme of tradition versus evolution of the series.
