The Tales of Series Has Just Reached 15 Million Shipments Worldwide

It has been 17 years since the release of Tales of Phantasia in 1995. Today, Namco Bandai has announced that as of December 4, 2012, the entire Tales of Series has reached 15 million shipments worldwide.

This, of course, includes Tales of Xillia 2, which has apparently reached 480,000 shipments by now. We're also looking forward to the release of Tales of Hearts R next year.

Since Phantasia, the series has focused not merely just on the rewards of defeating evil, but also on its co-existence with justice, and the high action battle system. In addition, the series has reached not only consoles and handhelds, but also mobile phones and social networks. There are also the now yearly Tales of Festivals being held, as well as collaboration events such as those in Namco Namja Town.

Tales of Series general producer Makoto Yoshizumi extends his thanks to all the game's supporters and to all the people who made the games possible. He also looks forward to working on the 20th anniversary game, and will devote most of his time to Tales of Hearts R and Tales of Kizna.
