Announced at the Tales of Arise x Tales of Luminaria Tokyo Game Show 2021 event, Tales of Arise will be getting a small free update this October 7th.

The information below was translated from Japanese. So far, the English side of the game hasn't confirmed the update yet, but it will most likely be the same.

  • New difficulties "Easiest" and "Unknown"
    • Easiest difficulty is easier than the current Story difficulty in the game
    • Unknown difficulty is harder than the current Chaos difficulty in the game
  • Three new special battles added to the Training Grounds in Elde Menancia:
    • Warring States Defeat Record
    • Protect Our Beach Time
    • Scary! A Strange Voice Roaring at Midnight
  • New weapons obtained from winning the special battles mentioned above:

The special weapons follow the theme of the already available paid DLC costumes from the game (or from the Ultimate Edition), namely the Warring States, School Life and Beach Time costumes. The weapons themselves will be free in this update, but the DLC costumes are again, paid content.
